Translate review to English. Ich habe dieses Buch vor allem gekauft, weil der Film einer meiner Liebsten ist. Durch die Rezensionen war ich etwas abgeschreckt, dennoch neugierig und muss sagen, dass ich das Buch zwar anders aber absolut lesenswert finde.
Aber die ganze Geschichte ist sehr viel trauriger und realistischer, was die Reaktionen der Mitmenschen, die Gump treffen, angeht.
Super Buch. Kann es nur jedem weiter empfehlen. Dazu muss aber gesagt werden das vieles ganz anders ist als im Film.

The character of Forrest has been long criticized as a complacent person who does what he is told, and finds success in doing so. Rather I found him to be more of a zen figure who is shown pondering and thinking his way through things.
